The DHO Inferno Team

The 79th International Inferno ski races will take place from 18-21 January 2023.

Entry fee for the downhill is 70 chf,  Inferno super-combination is 100 chf

for the super 3 ( including Downhill in Blaten-Belap and Saad Fee is an additional 120 chf.

As in previous years we will organise training  / course inspection on the Tuesday Wednesday Thursday before the race depending on demand.

We will be holding the Eastwood Trophy , a Super-g on the Lauberhorn race course on Friday 20th January, this is an open race  and we hope some Kandhar racers will join us.

Covid permitting ,we will have a team breakfast at the Jungfrau Hotel in Murren on Downhill race day, the 21st, and a team Dinner at the Eiger Hotel in Murren on Saturday night before the big party!

Its a great event  requiring fitness and nerve as well as endurance and of course the ability to ski uphill as well as down!

All those who won medals in the last 3 years that the race was held are guaranteed an entry, if they want one. Anyone else who wishes to take part in the DHO team needs to apply for a bib and the team enters a ballot for the remaining places.

There will also be a disclaimer/ Inferno rules to sign  (through the proactively app).

We will start collecting names for the DHO team NOW.  They are registered with Datasport and  the Inferno Office in Mid September.  We learn who has been awarded an entry in Mid October and ask these people to pay using a credit card through the online shop.  We re-apply for anyone who does not have a bib at this stage.  There is a waiting list and it is very likely you will get a bib as more become available later on.

If you are interested  and want to know more please see the FAQ

I would like to have all this years competitors to have notified me using this form no later than 31/08/2022.

This is because all the entries have to be registered with the Inferno office by me before 7/09/2022 when entries close.

If you are interested  and want to know more or declare your intentions to race please email me

Let the training begin :)
