Racing Between Clubs since 2008

The Amateur Inter-Club championships (AICC) was formed in 2008 and is held every year in varying venues across the Alps. The competition brings together some of the best amateur skiers in Europe and is extremely professionally managed. Usually the races take place across three days and consist of a Giant Slalom and Super Giant Slalom.

The DHO has been participating in the AICC races since its inception as it is seen as a highly prestigious competition and one that the DHO considers is very important to be part of. All members and prospective members are welcome between the ages of 18 to 60+ and we are always looking for new talent.

In addition to the competition itself, there is an active social side to the event and all of our DHO contenders always say that they have a great time in addition to the racing. We also make sure that we get top coaches to help progress racers abilities during the race week.

Why you should consider joining this event

Racing is at the heart of what the DHO does and we find that many of our junior members who initially started racing with Coggins and Eagles want to progress to the next level. Additionally, we also welcome older racers who want to return and see if they have still got their old abilities. You should be considering this event if you

  •  Have raced with Coggins and Eagles at a junior level
  •  Have been involved with DHORacing and Training
  • You want to race competitively at a senior level
  • Fancy variety and scenery at different resorts every years
  • The opportunity to train with other advanced racers
  •  To get exceptional coaching from some of Europe’s leading racing coaches

Why the AICC is extra special this season

The DHO is very proud to be hosting this year’s event in Wengen and we are determined to make it one of the best AICC experiences. Not only is Wengen the home of the world famous Lauberhorn,

but we will have some fantastic coaching to celebrate our home and welcome all the International racers.

We were very lucky to have Chemmy Alcott and her husband Dougie Crawford coaching us at Flaine this year and we are delighted that they will be providing more brilliant coaching and insights in Wengen during 2022.

Important: We are looking for helpers with this year’s racing in Wengen.
