Our last significant snowfall was on the 21 February, then we have enjoyed endless weeks of sunshine, cold weather, and fantastic piste conditions!
Members and guests have enjoyed ski leading days with Jane Dawson and Mark Hughes.
We held the Kurverein Crystal pairs race on Thursday 24th February, this year’s race was a round-the-mountain tour starting at Mannlichen chair lift via Lager chair, Tchuggen T-bar, Honegg chair, and finishing going through the Eigernordwand gate. Pairs had to navigate the route, and the queues to achieve the fastest time using the Skiline app for timing. One couple lost each other, another almost forgot a lift and had to go back but we all enjoyed the snow and weather. We met at the Schreinerei bar to collate results and share stories.
We have had great day trips to Murren and First
On the 3rd of March, we held the Andy Capp Charger, a Giant slalom with a difference, placings decided by the smallest gap between the two runs, thus the most consistent skiers taking the placings not necessarily the fastest.
