This week everything seems to be winding down towards the end of the season. Grindelwald First closed at the weekend so sadly no visit there.  A few regulars were still in Wengen so we made the best of the unpredictable weather and varying piste conditions.  After the rain and sleet at the weekend we did find some new snow on piste and I took on the challenge of skiing the two itineraries for the first time this season with an advanced  visitor.

On Tuesday the Wolfe family group reconnected with the club after an absence and Philip and Charlie had a good day out with me at Murren midweek. They were delighted to have been able to find firm snow on the Black runs from Piz Gloria and from Birg and to survive the ‘porridge’ on the Kanonenrohr.  Lucy and Lizzie enthusiastically took on bar duties on Wednesday evening when there were no regulars available and were gracious hostesses!

Building works to do with the new cable car at Mürren, Birg and Piz Gloria are ongoing so it is not the best introduction to the skiing there but hopefully by next season it will all be finished and the swish new terminals fully functional.

We are waiting to hear what if anything is to happen to the old Falboden chair lift.
