On the 18th of December last year I updated the blog. Isn’t it funny the things that remain consistent! The weather has been wonderful and the pistes are amazing to ski on. On our first DHO ski run yesterday, we enjoyed Skiing on the grippy snow in glorious sunshine. I also managed a wee FaceTime home which meant Lachlan could see the snow too.
The opening night in the Club was successful, everyone engaged in a friendly blether. We started distributing the Membership cards. If you are in the village you can come in between 6 and 7pm to collect yours.
The Heinz Cup treasure hunt will be on Thursday 22/12. This year you can expect references to classical literature, skill development and social media interaction. In fact I’m sure it will be fun for all the family. Prize giving will be at 1730 in the club room that evening, Thursday 22/12. Office hour will be in the newly refurbished Anonym Bar in the Silberhorn Hotel from 6 pm.
Next week we will have the Cova Cup on Thursday 29/12. This race is sponsored by Sina Cova and the Falken Hotel, it will be a normal ski race and is most likely to be up on the Mannlichen ski area. Come and register by 7pm on Wednesday 28/12. I am still not sure if it will be possible to run a parallel slalom next week, I’ll let you know on Thursday.
